Rib Patterns

We are pleased to offer four sets of Adirondack guideboat rib patterns and a Vassar-style stem pattern created by Master Boatbuilder Jim Cameron. These are the actual patterns that we use to trace and cut the root framing of the four boats we offer, and a stem pattern is included in all rib patterns.

The patterns are on heavy 36"x48" manila-type paper, suitable for display. Each rib and stem will be clearly drawn, ready for cutting and tracing, and will be hand labeled with:

  • rib number
  • degree of bevel
  • foot-length
  • intersection at bottom board

Available Rib and Stem Patterns

  1. 12 foot "Raider" guideboat by Parsons circa 1900 (36-inch beam)
  2. 14 foot Cameron guideboat by unknown builder (38-inch beam)
  3. 15'10" guideboat by Vassar circa 1910 (36.5-inch beam)
  4. 16 foot true Cameron guideboat, a combination of ribs making possible a very sleek hull design, 1995 (37-inch beam)

Special requests invited.
